Hello and welcome to the Support 4 Disabled Kids website.

My name is Chris Collins and my foundation has been set up for very personal reasons.

We are helping these kids with disabilities of all sorts because some of these are noticable and some are not.

One in 4 children are born with a disability and 90% of marriages break up for these reasons.  We want to try to keep families together and also explain it is important not only for the kids but for both parents to stick it out.  Try to remember why you fell in love with each other.  It's not any reason to break up just because your child has a disability.  Any way you look at things you still have to pay your partner support whether you break up for a child that you have had together.  So if it's a child with a problem or not the child is the one who looses as they don't have both parents to love them and to look after them.  so really think why you are finishing your relationship with each other.  It's not the children's fault thay you bring them into the world, it's whther your relationship is strong before you have your kids.

Kids with disabilites need both parents for lots of reasons.  Love, help and understanding. They will possibly need more support when they go to school, due to other kids bullying them, only because they are not educated by their own parents.  Take the time to understand your kids, work with them instead of giving up on them and encourge them to interact with other kids. If they are able to play sport let them, this will make them stronger.  This also helps them make friends and gives them a semi normal life
